We virtually went all around Japan, just to find Ultraman. There are a few more places we’ve yet been to, but I think we are pretty happy we visited the big ones already. ^^ Of course, my boy was/is always chuffed to bits being able to meet his favourite super hero! Unagi Treat At Sushi King

Another visit to Sushi King for us last week. It’s funny that we’ve pretty much avoided coming to Sushi King or any other kaiten-zushi place after our holiday to Japan last year but now that our trip is looming, we’ve been eating Japanese food again at regular basis. Raimie wanted to go to Sushi King so that’s why we went there again

Festivals Around The Corner

Summer months always garner various celebrations in Japan; with parades, fireworks and crowds taking over the streets throughout the country. It became popular in the Edo period (1603-1868) as events to relieve summer fatigue. Another way to relieve summer fatigue is by eating unagi (eel), I was told.

Hanazono: A Resort for All Seasons

A STATE-OF-THE-ART bike and wakeboard park will be the centre piece for Hanazono’s year-round sports, adventure and activity resort, set to open this summer. Up to 5km of cross country mountain bike tracks, trails and jumps, plus freeride terrain, along with a BMX-style ‘pump’ arena and a skills development area, will be built at Hanazono to cater for beginner to advanced riders.

Lake Toya

For those lucky enough to live or visit Hokkaido in the summer months, Lake Toya (Toyako) is a great place to visit as a day trip. Even better if you can stay a couple of nights. Lake Toya is part of the Shikotsu-Toya National Park
